So I have been working on this huge event that is happening next week on the 19th. I have gotten all the candidates from the Govenor, U.S Congress and Secretary of State to come and speek to the students here at Minneapolis Community and Technical College about their campagin and to answer some questions that the students have for them. This is a BIG deal and I have been working my ass of for it along with going to school at the same time! It’s been crazy and my grades are still good!
So I thought that once this event was done then I would have a little bit of claimness in my life before I start on the next project but nope that’s not the case. The following day I have a meeting with a Representative at the State Capital to bounce ideas off of each other and see what the next step that we can work on together with the issues that affect the students here at my college.
The day after that I have a meeting with the President of MCTC along with the Director of Finance for the college along with the vice president of the college as well to talk about tuition consultation. Which is an important issues facing our students.
It seems like my work will never stop. Once this event is done there is always more work to do. I wont be putting on an event for a while but there is a lot of work to be done and a lot of people to talk to. It just never ends! But you know what I am loving every moment!
I love doing this type of work the whole policy and making change on this level. I feel like if you really want to make a change you have to work on the inside. You can still have all the radical thinking you want. Sometimes it works with making noise on the outside but if you go about it in the right way. This is a whole different topic that I might talk about at a later date but right now this is a good time to end all of this.
